Douglas Henderson

Doug’s name is mentioned frequently by other Paleoartists as one of their principal influences, and with good reason. His beautiful renditions of prehistoric landscapes and their inhabitants, with their amazing use of light and shadow, gave a truly artistic approach to Paleoart, and can now be seen in numerous popular and academic books, particularly Dinosaurs: A Global View; The Dawn of The Dinosaurs and Maia: A Dinosaur Grows Up. He was also credited as a ‘Dinosaur Specialist’ on Jurassic Park, while his artwork can actually be seen hanging in John Hammond’s room in Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World!
