About Us

Titan Publishing Group

Titan Publishing Group is an independently owned publishing company, established in 1981. It is based at offices in London's Bankside area, close to Tate Modern. We publish on a world English basis, as well as territory by territory, with domestic sales teams & distribution in the US, UK, Australia & New Zealand, and export agents in other territories.

Titan Publishing Group has two main divisions: Titan Books and Titan Magazines, with their own editorial and marketing staff. Our in-house graphic design studio and production department serve both divisions, and provide a strong creative, design style for all the company's titles.

The Books Division has four main areas of publishing: Film, TV & Music; Fiction; Graphic Novels; and Illustrated Books.

Film, TV & Music

Titan Books is a leading publisher of high quality film and TV tie-ins, with particular strength in the area of licensed entertainment titles. We are also moving into spin-off merchandise opportunities with our titles, particularly the social stationery & digital arenas, with a Hammer Glamour Calendar and iPhone and iPad apps out in 2010.

In 2010 we have published to great acclaim a tie-in to the new movie from Mathew Vaughn, Kick-Ass, based on the best-selling graphic novel by Mark Millar, with exclusive commentary from Millar.

Our current & retro TV companion series also goes from strength to strength, with companion books to CSI, Heroes, Lost, 24, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1, Smallville, Supernatural, Bones and Ghost Whisperer, with more hit series being added all the time.

We also publish a growing list of prestigious and critically-acclaimed cinema reference titles such as The Alfred Hitchcock Story, The Hammer Story, Hammer Glamour, and The Winston Effect: The Art & History of the Stan Winston Studio. Our lead fall 10 title is The Art of Drew Struzan, a celebration of the work of the world’s most-famous movie poster artist.

2010 has seen Titan moving into the music area, with a much-praised biography of UK singer, Matt Monro; a graphic novel from hip-hop/spoken word artist, Scroobius Pip, and a Bob Marley photography book expected in fall 10.

Our range of originated fiction continues to grow, with official novelisations of films such as Terminator Salvation released in 2009, along with ongoing series of original novels based on TV shows such as Primeval. In 2010 we took over the Supernatural original fiction licence, with 3 brand-new titles scheduled, and we are launching a brand new fantasy fiction series based on the popular computer game, Runescape, in fall 10. We also launched an ongoing reissue crime & mystery series in fall 09: The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

In the UK we also publish a range of licensed fiction titles, including Star Wars, Iron Man, Transformers, Dragon Age, God of War, Elder Scrolls, Bioshock and many more.
