Description
Produced under license from the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (who receive a royalty for every book sold), Reflections on Nelson Mandela is the only officially sanctioned book of its kind ever to be published.
In this remarkable book, internationally renowned photographer Antoinette Haselhorst presents original, intimate photographs taken of Nelson Mandela on his 80th birthday in 1998 and captures the spirit and humanity of this iconic figure. In 2002 Antoinette returned to South Africa and revisited Nelson Mandela and captured him in a series of images together with Bill Clinton, images which clearly demonstrate their friendship, affection and respect for each other.
This publication features photos and comments from a wide range of people, including public figures, intellectuals, celebrities, politicians and ordinary people – all inspired by Mr Mandela’s work and legacy. These original photographs were produced especially for this book, which underlines the legacy of Mandela through the Children’s Fund.
Over 100 people were asked: “What do you think society, mankind and humanity can learn from Nelson Mandela’s values and virtues?” Their photographs and answered are captured in this timeless and historic book.
