Gloria Steinem is quoted as saying that cats are “a writer’s most logical and agreeable companion”, but at Titan we think this honor can be extended to the noble pooch too.
This festive season, we’ve asked some of our authors to take photos of their feline & canine companions exhibiting some Christmas cheer, keep scrolling to see what they sent us…
First up is Holly, the fearsome hound of horror author Paul Tremblay (The Cabin at the End of the World)
Next, Nico & Toto, two of Gareth L. Powell’s (Embers of War) three black cats (you’ll have to ask Gareth which is which…)
Meet Barnabas, trusty & oh-so-cute companion of Aliya Whiteley! (The Arrival of Missives)
Who’s this beauty you ask? Why it’s Nova, debut author Christine Lynn Herman’s (The Devouring Gray) familiar.
From all the way in Australia, meet wolfhound/American bulldog cross Chloe! She’s the writer’s-best-friend of Gary Kemble (Strange Ink).
This is feline overlord Pumpkin, who rules over the demesne of James Brogden (The Hollow Tree).
Move over Rudolph, this year Fran Dorricott’s (After the Eclipse) gorgeous Juno will be pulling Santa’s sleigh and spreading Christmas cheer!
Next we have Blue, faithful friend to Tim Lebbon (New Fears 2). Blue may want to stop reading The Silence…
And this is Moriarty, more commonly know as Mo. Right hand cat to Sarah Maria Griffin (Spare & Found Parts).
Last but certainly not least, we have Honey, caught reading in front of the tree with her human James Lovegrove (Firefly: Big Damn Hero).
Happy holidays from Titan Books, our authors and their furry friends!
