This week at E3, Microsoft announced some exciting news for Halo fans, with details on a new Halo trilogy and the upcoming release Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

Created in celebration of the 10th anniversary of one of the most beloved franchises in gaming history, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is a spectacularly remastered version of the original Halo campaign. Bundled with seven of the most popular Multiplayer maps in Halo history ready for Xbox LIVE, Halo: Anniversary will include a bounty of new features including Co-op play over Xbox LIVE, Achievements, new challenges, and new fiction to uncover.

Also celebrating the 10th anniversary is Titan Books' Halo: The Great Journey: The Art of Building Worlds. Charting the glorious decade that gave us HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED, HALO 2, HALO 3, HALO WARS, HALO 3: ODST, Halo: Legends and HALO: REACH, Halo: The Art of Building Worlds is a lavish and spectacular collection of groundbreaking art, published to celebrate the franchise’s 10th anniversary.

The Art of Building Worlds is the ultimate gallery of the Halo universe, with over 400 images including sketches, commentary, and concept art from all stages of development, including characters, weapons, and sweeping landscapes as envisioned by more than thirty of the amazing artists behind the first ten years of Halo including Isaac Hannaford, Shi Kai Wang, Frank Capezzuto and Jaime Jones. From the earliest concepts for The Pillar of Autumn and The Maw to the streets of New Mombasa, from Master Chief to Noble Six, here you’ll find unparalleled access to the artistic innovation of the Halo archive.
