Who is Ashley Parker?
Well, if you input the name into GoogleSearch, the first three results are:
1/ He’s an actor/singer from Redding, California.
2/ She’s a political blogger for the New York Times.
3/ And another entry for actor/singer Ashley Parker (Wild Things: Foursome).
Scrolling further down, there are a couple of other links for Twitter and Facebook accounts. And lots more entries for Ashley Parker, actor. Rock on, dude! If, however, you input “Ashley Parker novel” into GoogleSearch, you get this:

"Sexy, weird, creepy, over-the-top zombie goodness. Required reading for the deranged." (Jonathan Maberry, New York Times Times bestselling author of Patient Zero and Marvel Zombies Return)
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the correct response to my original question, at least as far as it concerns this post.
Ashley Parker, the heroine of my upcoming novel Plague Town, is a twenty-nine-year-old Liberal Arts major at a small college in the fictional town of Redwood Grove, California (not to be mistaken for Redding, CA). Returning to college after being dumped by her ex for someone ten years her junior, Ashley has no idea what she wants to do with her life. If asked, however, being a member of a special elite group of zombie killers would not have been on her list of possible career choices. This is, however, what happens after she survives being bitten by zombies and wakes up to find herself permanently changed, and her town and college under siege by the walking dead.
So watch out, other Ashley Parkers! Ashley Parker, Liberal Arts major and zombie killer, is armed with enhanced physical abilities, a katana, and a sense of humor. And she's after your ranking on GoogleSearch ... without adding "novel" after her name. May the best Ashley Parker win.
Ashley was just trying to get through a tough day when the world turned upside down.
A terrifying virus appears, quickly becoming a pandemic that leaves its victims, not dead, but far worse. Attacked by zombies, Ashley discovers that she is a 'Wild-Card' -- immune to the virus -- and she is recruited to fight back and try to control the outbreak.
It's Buffy meets the Walking Dead in a rapid-fire zombie adventure!
