Titan Books has had an extremely successful year with of titles from major authors such as Stephen King, Kim Newman, Cory Doctorow, Christopher Priest and Lawrence Block amongst many others and a bundle of major projects tied to games, film and television. On any given day we’re promoting major authors, gaming brands such as Assassin’s Creed, Halo and Battlefield, movies such as Elysium, World War Z and Pacific Rim and cult titles tied to Joss Whedon, Guillermo Del Toro, Harry Potter, Star Trek and Star Wars. In addition to this Titan distributes a broad range of Graphic Novels in the UK, which require special attention and promotions.
About the role
We have an busy year coming up and we’re looking for a motivated, passionate, ambitious Publicist to create and execute major promotions for these important authors and properties.
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years experience publicising Books in the UK market - ideally in fiction - and have a wealth of contacts for broadcast, print and online media. They will have knowledge and experience of key UK events and festivals and be experienced managing authors. They will be imaginative, driven, determined and feel confident publicising cult and genre properties. In addition to being personable and an excellent communicator they will have excellent written skills and be capable of multitasking and working under pressure to strict deadlines. This demanding and exciting role requires some management of the Marketing & Press Assistant.
